Scholarships
The Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation offers scholarships and bar study grants to Hispanic law students. First, second, and third-year students are eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is February 7, 2025, and decisions will be announced in early April 2025.
Supporting Academic Excellence and Legal Aspirations
At the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation (DHLF), we firmly believe in the transformative power of education and are dedicated to supporting the next generation of legal professionals. Our scholarship program is designed to alleviate the financial burden on law students and enable them to focus on their studies and career goals. We award scholarships on the basis of merit and financial need to encourage and support students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving the community.
Eligibility
Our scholarships are open to:
First-Year Law Students: Applicants who have applied to begin law school in the following year.
Second-Year Law Students: Students who will be in their second year of law school in the following year.
Third-Year Law Students and Beyond: Students who will graduate in the following year or later.
Important Dates
Application Deadline: February 7, 2025
Decision Announcement: Early April 2025
Submission: All applications must be fully completed and submitted by 11:59 PM CST on February 7, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Additional Information
Unified Application: A single application can be used for both the Scholarship/Bar Study Grant and Judicial Internship Programs. If you are applying for both opportunities, ensure all application materials are submitted by the earliest deadline.
Work at Your Own Pace: The application platform allows you to save your progress, so you can take your time, ensure your application is comprehensive, and submit it when ready.

How to apply

Create an account
Click the link provided below or visit www.dallasfoundation.org, navigate to “Scholarships,” then to “Scholarship Listing,” and select “Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation Scholarship.”
If you are a new applicant, you will need to create an account by clicking “Register” and then selecting “Scholarship Applicant” under Portal Access.
Complete all required fields, and you will receive an email confirmation once your registration is successful.

Login to portal
Log in to the portal: Using the username and password you selected, navigate to Scholarship Funds. Locate the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation Scholarship & Bar Study or Internship, click the link, then enter the access code provided.
Since this scholarship and/or internship is reserved ONLY for a specific student, you must enter the access code provided on the Dallas Foundation's website in the "Please enter the password" box.

Complete application
After entering the code, the scholarship description will appear, and you can begin filling out your application. It's crucial to use the access code and complete the application specifically for the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation Scholarship to ensure eligibility.
